Privacy notice

This notice explains what CentralBlog keeps about you, why, and how to get it removed. We have tried to keep it readable.

CentralBlog editorial team ·

Who is responsible

CentralBlog, reachable through the account page, operates this site and the marketplace behind it. When we say we, we mean that operator.

Just ask. Questions about this notice can be sent through the account page.

What we collect, and why

Account details come first: your email address and the login you chose. We need them to let you in and to send receipts. That is the whole reason.

Order data comes next: the pages you promote, the keywords, the donor domains in your basket and the status of each placement. Without it we could not deliver anything, and you would have no order history to look at.

Payment records are held for bookkeeping. Balance is topped up in the dashboard, and we keep invoices and proforma invoices that you request. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.

Technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, help us spot abuse and fix faults. Publishers who sell placements also give us payout details.

  • Account: email and login
  • Orders: target URLs, keywords, baskets, statuses
  • Payments: invoices and balance history
  • Logs: IP address, browser, time of request

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not run an advertising network on this site. We do not publish your account details, though the link you order will of course appear on the web.

A placed article is public by design. Once it is live on a donor site, removing it from our records does not remove it from that site.

How long we keep things

Order and payment records are kept for as long as we need them to run the service. Logs are rotated. Nothing is kept without a reason.

Ask for deletion through the account page. We remove what we are free to remove, and some records may have to stay.

Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. It is needed for the dashboard to work. Nothing more.

Basic analytics may count visits to the public guides without naming you. If we ever add anything beyond that, we will change this notice and the date at the top before it starts.

Your choices

You may ask about the personal data we hold, including a request to correct or delete it. Make the request through the account page.

Tell us if something looks wrong. See also our terms of use and about page.
